Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. WHERE
A portion of southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Greenbrier. WHEN
Until 245 AM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 1226 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages
Beaver Creek, Burns Run, Joe Knob Branch, Boggs Creek, Burdette Creek, Eagle Branch, Elijah Branch, Little Clear Creek, Meadow River, McMillion Creek, Little Creek and Big Clear Creek. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Portions of northwest North Carolina, including the following areas, Alleghany NC, Ashe and Watauga, Virginia, including the following areas, Alleghany VA, Bath, Bland, Botetourt, Carroll, Craig, Floyd, Giles, Grayson, Montgomery, Pulaski, Roanoke, Rockbridge, Smyth, Tazewell and Wythe, and southeast West Virginia, including the following areas, Eastern Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe, Summers and Western Greenbrier. Through Thursday morning. IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
