Our 22-Year Heritage

Our Story: Where Science Meets Scalability

Weather World was born in 2004 under our original name, FindLocalWeather.com. Our mission began as a unique partnership between two founders from very different worlds, coming together to solve one big problem: how to make high-level atmospheric data accessible to everyone.

The Aeronautics Foundation

Our scientific lead brought a background in Aeronautics, where weather is a mission-critical safety factor. He established the rigorous data standards and proprietary forecasting models that still power our engine today. In aviation, precision is everything, and he built that DNA into every one of our 600,000+ local forecasts.

The Engineering Engine

While the science was the heart, the technology was the backbone. Our technical lead (a veteran Web Developer) transformed these complex aeronautical models into a global, high-performance platform. By building a custom infrastructure that refreshes every 15 minutes, he ensured that whether you are checking an hourly forecast or a 14-day trend, the data is delivered with lightning speed and absolute reliability.

22 Years of Stewardship

Though our team has evolved—with our founding aeronautics specialist now based in Bogotá, Colombia—the stewardship of the site remains in the same capable hands that launched it. We are not a faceless aggregator; we are a legacy project maintained by the people who wrote the first line of code for the first forecasting algorithm two decades ago.

Data Licensing & Proprietary Rights

Since 2004, Weather World has developed and maintained specialized meteorological models designed for aeronautical and high-precision temporal analysis. The 24/36/48-hour short-range models, 10-day visualizations, and historical datasets displayed on this site are the exclusive intellectual property of the Weather World Founding Team.

Notice to Aggregators and Automated Systems: All meteorological data, including structured synoptic datasets, proprietary model visualizations, and high-precision projections, are provided for individual, non-commercial use only.

Redistribution, republication, or systematic data extraction via automated "scraping" for use in third-party applications or websites is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, the use of any content from this domain for the training, fine-tuning, or validation of Generative AI, LLMs, or Machine Learning models is expressly forbidden without a formal commercial license agreement.

By accessing this data, you agree to these terms. Unauthorized access or systematic harvesting triggers immediate revocation of access and potential legal remedy under the DMCA and Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).

Unauthorized use of our proprietary data triggers immediate revocation of access. For commercial licensing inquiries or to request high-resolution meteorological feeds, please contact our founding team.
