Patchy dense fog will occur across southeast West Virginia and portions of southwest Virginia early this morning. Visibilities may fall to a quarter of a mile in places. If you are traveling, slow down, increase the distance between yourself and other vehicles, and use your low-beam headlights.
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central North Carolina, northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia, southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West Virginia.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. There is a risk of excessive rainfall from storms this afternoon that may cause localized flooding, especially west of the Blue Ridge.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. An increased risk of severe storms due to damaging winds and localized flash flooding from heavy rainfall exists during Tuesday and Wednesday. The greatest risk is west of the Blue Ridge.
