This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Strong northeast winds will increase the threat of rip currents today through this evening for areas near the Twin Ports, including the beaches of Duluth and Superior. A Beach Hazards Statement has been issued for these areas.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday Strong northeast winds over the western arm of Lake Superior will raise the potential for rip currents each afternoon and evening from Saturday through Monday at the beaches of the Twin Ports. Sunday will be the day with the strongest winds and highest waves. Patchy frost is possible each night from Sunday through Wednesday night.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Skywarn spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight. Rainfall amounts from spotters and the public are encouraged.
