This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Areas of dense fog this morning will create visibility of less than 1 mile, with very localized areas of 1/4 mile. Fog will gradually dissipate through late morning. Strong northeast winds over the southwest arm of Lake Superior may create a risk of rip currents this afternoon and evening at the beaches of the Twin Ports. There is a 20% chance of thunderstorms late tonight over the Brainerd Lakes. Severe storms are not expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Sunday through Friday Additional rounds of thunderstorms are forecast Sunday through Tuesday night. While a few storms during that time may be strong to severe, widespread severe weather is not expected at this time. Locally heavy rainfall is possible with the storms Sunday and Monday which may lead to localized minor flooding.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Skywarn spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
