This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern West Virginia, northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight A Wind Advisory continues for the Blue Ridge through 11 AM. A Flood Watch is in effect for the Blue Ridge and portions of surrounding counties east of the Blue Ridge through late tonight. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible in the watch area. Damaging wind gusts and a couple of brief tornadoes are possible this afternoon to evening, mainly east of the Blue Ridge and Catoctin Mountains.

Monday through Saturday No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Portions of central, northern, and northwest Virginia, including the following areas, in central Virginia, Albemarle, Central Virginia Blue Ridge, Greene, Nelson and Orange. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- The remnants of Hurricane Isaias will continue to produce widespread rain through this afternoon. Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely for parts of the area this afternoon and evening, some of which could contain heavy rain. The tropical environment will support efficient rainfall rates at times. Storm total rain amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected, with higher amounts of 4 to 5 inches along the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
