Portions of southwest and west central Virginia, including the following counties, in southwest Virginia, Floyd. In west central Virginia, Franklin. WHEN
Until 700 AM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 534 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages
Meadow Creek, Pigg River, Little River, Lick Fork, Brush Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Boothe Creek, Hatchet Creek, Otter Creek and Meadow Run. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
