This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.
DAY ONE
Tonight A Tornado Watch is in effect for central Maryland and the Baltimore Metropolitan area until 8 PM this evening. Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds of 60 to 70 mph and large hail are possible. A few tornadoes are possible, which could be strong. Elsewhere, a few severe thunderstorms are possible this evening. Severe thunderstorms may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph, a few instances of large hail, and perhaps a tornado. Monitor the latest forecast for updates and watches, and be sure to have a way to receive warnings promptly.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday Wind gusts could approach gale-force over the waters on Friday afternoon into Friday evening, particularly closer to shore.
