This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern West Virginia, northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland.
DAY ONE
Tonight Additional severe storms with damaging wind gusts are possible through late tonight.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday Multiple disturbances are forecast to move from the Great Lakes to the Mid-Atlantic through the end of the week. Depending on timing, several rounds of severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday through Friday. Damaging wind gusts are the main threat. A Heat Advisory is in effect for Jefferson, Clarke, Page, Warren, Fauquier, Rappahannock Culpeper, Madison, Greene, Nelson, Orange, the city of Charlottesville, and Albemarle counties 11am to 8pm Thursday.

Spotter activation may be needed Thursday and Friday.

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. &&
