At 1142 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Summerfield to 6 miles east of Hereford to 3 miles southeast of Umbarger. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include
Amarillo, Hereford, Canyon, Lake Tanglewood, Mescalero Park, Buffalo Lake, Dawn, Umbarger, and Timbercreek Canyon. This includes Interstate 27 between mile markers 100 and 123.

Tonight. Low chance for thunderstorms tonight across the central and eastern Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. There is a low chance for a storm or two to become severe with large hail being the primary hazard in addition to lightning.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday. Thursday there is a chance for severe thunderstorms across the central and eastern Panhandles. Primary hazards include large hail, damaging winds, and the very low threat for a tornado. Friday will have a high chance of very dry conditions with critical fire weather.
