Levelland Muni Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
DAY ONE
This afternoon and tonight. Hot temperatures between 105 and 109 degrees are expected for areas off the caprock this afternoon. A heat advisory is in effect from 1 PM through 8 PM. Additionally, hot and dry conditions will result in elevated fire weather conditions over the entire southern Texas Panhandle, South Plains, and Rolling Plains this afternoon. A few thunderstorms are possible across the far southwest Texas Panhandle this afternoon and evening. If any storms do form, gusty winds and lightning would be the primary hazards.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday. Additional thunderstorms may occur Thursday afternoon and evening, mainly in the northern South Plains and far southwest Texas Panhandle. Hot temperatures in excess of 105 degrees will be possible for areas off the caprock through early next week.
