This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Hot and very dry conditions will result in elevated fire danger over much of the region today. A Heat Advisory is in effect for areas off the Caprock from 1 PM to 8 PM, where high temperatures are forecast to be between 105 and 109 degrees.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday. Hot temperatures will continue through this week, with highs expected to reach or exceed 105 degrees of the on Wednesday.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
