PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
DAY ONE
Tonight. An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and northern portions of the Rolling Plains with temperatures up to 113 degrees expected. A Heat Advisory is in effect for eastern portions of the South Plains and southern portions of the Rolling Plains with temperatures up to 109 expected. A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement is in effect for the entire forecast area with breezy southwesterly winds and RH values as low as 14 percent.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Sunday through Friday. Very hot temperatures will continue through at least the first half of this week week. Breezier conditions compared to the past several days may result in elevated fire danger across the region on Monday.
