This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
DAY ONE
This afternoon and tonight. A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 PM this evening for the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and Rolling Plains. Isolated thunderstorms are possible across the region through this evening. The strongest storms could produce wind gusts up to 70 mph and heavy downpours.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Very hot temperatures will continue through the weekend and into next week. A Heat Advisory is in effect for most locations near and east of I-27 on Saturday with highs expected to range from 105 to 109 degrees. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop Saturday afternoon and evening, with the highest storm chances over the far southeastern Texas Panhandle.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
