PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop mainly along and west of I-27 this afternoon and evening. The strongest of these storms may produce strong wind gusts and brief downpours. A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 PM to 8 PM for the southeastern Texas Panhandle and eastern portions of the Rolling Plains. High temperatures of 105 to 108 degrees are expected in this area.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible on Friday and Saturday afternoon, mainly over western portions of the Caprock.
