DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight Heat index values will approach or exceed 100 this afternoon for much of the area outside of the higher elevations, with heat indices above 105F possible for most Tennessee counties. See the heat advisory for more details.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday Afternoon heat index values will approach or exceed 100 for much of the region on Saturday with the highest values likely across the southern and central valley areas. A few storms may become strong to severe with damaging winds the primary threat on Saturday.

Spotter activation is not needed at this time.
