This Afternoon and Tonight Heat index values will approach or exceed 100 this afternoon for much of the area outside of the higher elevations, with the highest values mainly across the southern Valley. See the heat advisory for more details. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday Afternoon heat index values will approach or exceed 100 for much of the area outside of the higher elevations both Thursday and Friday, with the highest values likely across the southern and central valley areas. See the heat advisory for more details. A few storms may become strong to severe with damaging winds the primary threat Friday afternoon mainly across the north, and then again on Saturday across the entire area. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
