Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE
Northeastern Carter County in east Tennessee
Western Johnson County in east Tennessee
Northeastern Sullivan County in east Tennessee
WHEN
Until 645 PM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 449 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include

Saturday through Thursday Hot and humid conditions will continue through the weekend and into early next week with heat index values reaching near or above 100 degrees in the central and southern valley.
