Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include
Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Elizabethton, Mountain City, Spurgeon, Colonial Heights, Gray, and Oak Grove.

east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight Very hot conditions can be expected especially over portions of the southeast in the central and southern Tennessee Valley this afternoon, including Knoxville and Chattanooga, although showers and thunderstorms will bring an abrupt end to the worst of the today`s heat to any given location as they move through. Showers and thunderstorms will move through this afternoon and evening, and the stronger of these storms will likely produce damaging wind gusts. In addition, locally heavy rainfall may produce localized flooding, especially in areas where the ground is already wet.
