Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 444 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include

FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR CENTRAL CARTER, SOUTH CENTRAL SULLIVAN, NORTHEASTERN UNICOI AND EASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES
At 358 PM EDT, There are several social media reports in the Johnson City area with photos of flash flooding. Notable roads include Cherokee Road and Unicoi Drive. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include
Johnson City, Elizabethton, Jonesborough, Central, Pine Crest, Hampton, Midway, Oak Grove and Unicoi. This includes Interstate 26 in Tennessee between mile markers 14 and 22
and between mile markers 23 and 34.
