This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central South Dakota and north central South Dakota.
DAY ONE
This afternoon and tonight. Northwesterly winds gusting up around 30 to 45 mph today along with minimum relative humidity values of 15 to 25 percent and dry fuels is leading to High to Very High Grassland Fire Danger Index values today. A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 7 PM CDT. If a fire were to ignite, it could become difficult to control or suppress.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday. No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

The National Weather Service in Aberdeen SD has issued a Red Flag Warning. AFFECTED AREA

West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY
Relative Humidity between 18 to 28 percent. IMPACTS
Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
