Britton Muni Weather Advisories
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota and northeast South Dakota.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Strong winds and abnormal heat will be the drivers behind elevated fire weather concerns today. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s will push afternoon humidity down between 25 and 35 percent. Strong southerly winds will be in place today as well, peaking this morning at 25 to 35 miles per hour. Localized gusts up to 45 miles per hour will be possible. Winds are expected to decrease through the afternoon today, meaning that these strongest winds will not coincide with the lowest afternoon humidity values. However, gusts up to 30 miles per hour may linger into the afternoon. The strong wind and dry conditions push Grassland Fire Danger up into the High category this afternoon. Additionally, these strong winds may create blowing dust, causing visibility reductions at times.
