Southeastern Fairfield County in central South Carolina
Southwestern Kershaw County in central South Carolina
North Central Richland County in central South Carolina
WHEN
Until 930 PM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 751 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Camden, Winnsboro, Lake Wateree Dam, Elgin, Lake Carolina, Longtown, Fairfield County Airport, Lugoff, Blythewood, Ridgeway, Smallwood, Winnsboro Mills, Pine Grove Fire Station, Rion and North Towne Square Shopping Center. - This includes the following highways
Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 87 and 93. Interstate 77 between mile markers 25 and 40. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
