Near persistent hot and dry weather will continue over the next week with afternoon heat index values between 100 and 110 degrees. There is a low chance of an isolated storm in the terrain of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas this weekend. Severe to extreme drought will also continue to worsen and daily localized fire weather concerns can be expected as a result. weather.gov/tulsa contains additional information.
