Ongoing. FIRE WEATHER DANGER. RISK
Limited. AREA
Far Southeast Oklahoma. ONSET
Ongoing. DISCUSSION
Breezy northerly winds gusting in the 25 to 35 mph range will continue through the rest of this afternoon before diminishing this evening and overnight. The combination of the strong and gusty winds, low afternoon humidities and a little to no rainfall from this recent rain event will lead to elevated fire weather concerns across far southeast Oklahoma through the afternoon. Tonight, overnight lows will drop into the mid 30s across portions of northeast Oklahoma near the Kansas border. These temperatures combined with near calm winds and clear skies to lead to areas of frost. A Frost Advisory is in effect early Saturday morning for Osage, Pawnee and Washington counties in northeast Oklahoma. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT
Spotter Activation Not Expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION
Patchy frost will again be possible Sunday morning, with continued cool overnight low temperatures and light winds. Southerly winds will bring warmer conditions starting during the day Sunday that will continue through next week. Dry conditions will prevail through at least the middle of next week. weather.gov/tulsa contains additional information.
