Oakhurst Weather Advisory
This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight. SIGNIFICANT WINDS. RISK
Limited. AREA
Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas. ONSET
Ongoing
ending by sunset. FIRE WEATHER DANGER. RISK
Limited. AREA
Far Southeast Oklahoma. ONSET
Ongoing
ending by sunset. DISCUSSION
Gusty north winds between 25 and 35 mph are expected to continue through sunset. The gusty winds and lower humidity over the region is raising fire weather concerns across far southeast Oklahoma, where rainfall was limited with this recent event. These concerns should decrease this evening as winds subside and humidity increases. Tonight, overnight lows will drop into the mid 30s across portions of northeast Oklahoma near the Kansas border. These temperatures combined with near calm winds and clear skies to lead to areas of frost. A Frost Advisory is in effect early Saturday morning for Osage, Pawnee and Washington counties in northeast Oklahoma. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT
Spotter Activation Not Expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. SATURDAY through THURSDAY
No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION
Patchy frost will again be possible Sunday morning, with continued cool overnight low temperatures and light winds. Southerly winds will bring warmer conditions starting during the day Sunday that will continue through next week. Dry conditions will prevail through at least the middle of next week. weather.gov/tulsa contains additional information.
