This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma.

Far Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET

Eastern Oklahoma and West Central Arkansas. ONSET
Midday. DISCUSSION
An ongoing cluster of showers and thunderstorms will continue to track eastward through northwest Arkansas through mid morning. Activity should weaken and shift eastward through the morning hours. Severe weather is not expected, but some of the strongest storms could produce wind gusts up to 40 mile per hour along with locally heavy rainfall. Hot and humid weather will build into the area through the afternoon hours, with heat index values in excess of 105 degrees likely across much of the region this afternoon.
