Mainly hot and dry conditions are expected through this afternoon, with heat index values ranging from 100 to 110 degrees across the forecast area. Isolated showers or thunderstorms will become possible during the overnight hours across portions of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas ahead of approaching mid level disturbance. Thunderstorm chances will increase some on Wednesday, with a few strong to severe storms possible Wednesday afternoon, mainly in the form of damaging winds.
