Hot conditions are ongoing and will continue through the evening before some relief arrives. Areas of showers and storms are expected across southeast OK into northwest AR, with the best chance in west-central AR. A few storms are expected to produce locally heavy rain and strong damaging winds. Localized large hail cannot be ruled out but it is less likely. Storms will diminish by late evening.
