Overnight lows tonight will only drop to the low to mid 70s which will provide limited nighttime relief from the heat. Hot and humid conditions will continue on Thursday, and portions of the Heat Advisory may need to be extended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Today and tonight. Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the Internet for more information about the following hazards. Heat Advisory. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this morning and this afternoon into the late evening. Primary hazards will be damaging wind gusts and large hail.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday. Clusters of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday.
