WHEN
Until 700 PM EDT Friday. IMPACTS
Flooding along the Whitewater River is lingering in northeast Dearborn and far western Hamilton County. Several roads in the area remain closed due to flooding, with some structures still affected. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 1154 AM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the warned area due to Lingering Whitewater River Flooding. - The Whitewater River will slowly recede by late afternoon. - Some locations that may experience flooding include
Harrison, West Harrison, and areas along Lawrenceburg and Suspension Bridge Roads north of Elizabethtown.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Today and tonight. Isolated locally heavy rainfall will be possible today.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. The heat index may approach 100 on Saturday and be at or above 100 on Sunday. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat, but isolated tornadoes are also possible. Heavy rainfall and flooding are possible.
