Peak heat index values will range from the upper 90s up to 103 degrees Wednesday afternoon. Overnight lows will only drop to the low to mid 70s which will provide limited nighttime relief from the heat. WHERE

Hot and humid conditions will continue on Thursday, and portions of the Heat Advisory may need to be extended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. This afternoon and tonight. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible late tonight into early Wednesday morning. Primary hazards will be damaging wind gusts and large hail.
