At 242 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Long Point State Park, or 9 miles west of Jamestown, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD

Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include
Jamestown, Lakewood, Falconer, Mayville, Long Point State Park, Jamestown West, Chautauqua Institution, Frewsburg, Chautauqua, and Stockton. This includes Interstate 86 between exits 7 and 14.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EST for western New York. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers.
