Freezing Drizzle and Black Ice Overnight
As rain comes to an end this evening and areas of drizzle linger, temperatures around the freezing mark will lower below freezing in many areas. This will allow for wet roads, bridges, ramps, parking lots, driveways and sidewalks to become icy. Be careful for outdoor slippery spots overnight. If driving, untreated roads, bridges and overpasses may contain slick spots, and motorists need to remain aware for rapidly changing driving conditions. The black ice threat will end tomorrow morning as drier air filters into our region, allowing for drying of surfaces, and later
temperatures will rise above freezing by mid to late morning.
