Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams on and downstream of recent burn scars may rise out of their banks. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour over the burn scars surrounding Ruidoso have the potential to produce rapid runoff that would impact creeks and streams in the Ruidoso area. The main risk window for flash flooding will be 2 PM to 5 PM MDT. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. &&
