FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR SOUTHWESTERN CATRON COUNTY
At 457 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area, mainly south of Glenwood. Flash flooding is likely ongoing. HAZARD

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include
Glenwood, Pleasanton and Alma. Dangerous water levels are expected in Whitewater Creek, Big Dry Creek, and the San Francisco River.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads and low water crossings. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings. && LAT
