At 343 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northeast of Black Lake, or 25 miles east of Taos, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD

People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include
Angel Fire, Cimarron, Philmont Scout Ranch, Rayado and Miami. This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 276 and 277
and near Mile Marker 303
and between Mile Markers 305 and 310.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm has produced dangerous hail and is capable of producing damaging winds. Heavy rains from severe thunderstorms can produce sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos, ditches and over low water crossings.
