Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Soils are very saturated from days of soaking rainfall. Rainfall rates of 1 to 1.5 inches per hour may occur with storms Friday afternoon and evening. Wildfire burn scars, urban areas, communities with underdeveloped infrastructure, complex terrain, and areas where the ground is already saturated are most at risk for rapid runoff and flash flooding. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 957 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain and Meteorologists reported water over roads and washed out dirt roads near and south of US Highway 380 across far southeast Socorro County and far southwest Lincoln County. This is causing arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
