Until 815 AM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 514 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated pockets of showers with embedded thunderstorms approaching from the southwest. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Jersey City, Jamaica, Yonkers, Flatbush, New Rochelle, Flushing, Bayonne, White Plains, Mott Haven, Hoboken, East Tremont, Port Chester, Coney Island, Secaucus, Rye, Rockaway Beach, Ridgefield, Todt Hill, Dobbs Ferry and Crown Heights. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

- At 257 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. - Rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected. - Some locations that could experience flooding include
