At 509 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicate 1 to 2 inches of rainfall have fallen across the warned area from heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding has already been occuring. HAZARD

Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include
Trenton, Ewing, Doylestown, Byram, Bedminster, Flemington, Chalfont, Tinicum, Pennington, New Hope, Yardley and Newtown. This includes Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 65 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
