This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north central Nebraska.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Isolated showers and general thunderstorms are possible across portions of central Nebraska this afternoon. At this time, no severe weather is expected. Afternoon highs climbing into the middle to upper 90s will push heat indices into the upper 90s to near 100F with the warmest values across south central Nebraska and portions of the Niobrara Valley of north central Nebraska. Additional rain and thunderstorms are possible after Midnight tonight for similar areas of central Nebraska with no severe weather expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Scattered rain and thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon, increasing to likely Saturday evening into early Sunday. A few storms may be strong to briefly severe with isolated severe hail and damaging wind gusts as well as heavy rain the main concerns. Rain and thunderstorms are likely each afternoon and evening Sunday and Monday. At this time, the threat for severe weather is uncertain.
