Schuff Park Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are possible tonight into early Saturday morning. A few of these storms could become severe capable of producing hail around the size of ping pong balls and 60 MPH wind gusts. The main time frame of concern for potential severe storms is 1 AM through 6 AM. In addition to any possible severe storms tonight, parts of our area could pick up a quick 1-2 inches of heavy rain, which could result in mainly minor/short-term flooding issues.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. - Limited thunderstorm potential Saturday-Saturday night: Between sunrise and roughly 10 AM Saturday, lingering thunderstorms could persist from the overnight hours, but these should be on the weaker side. Following what should be an almost entirely storm-free late Saturday morning through evening, thunderstorm chances return to our entire forecast area between midnight and sunrise Sunday, but with the highest chances focused within counties west of Highway 281. Severe storms appear rather unlikely. - Periodic thunderstorm chances Sunday through Thursday: Intermittent chances for thunderstorms continue across our area Sunday through Thursday. Severe storms appear unlikely through Sunday night, but beyond that, it is too soon to confidently pinpoint any potential time frames that might carry severe storm potential next week.
