This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north central Nebraska.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible for the eastern Panhandle late tonight. A few storms may be strong to briefly severe with gusty winds the main concern.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday. Hot temperatures are expected for Labor Day, particularly across southwest through central Nebraska. High temperatures will climb to the middle to upper 90s with heat indices reaching the upper 90s to briefly triple digits. Thunderstorms are possible as a frontal boundary approaches from the north and stalls in the area Monday through early Tuesday. Some storms may be strong to briefly severe with isolated large hail and damaging winds in addition to locally heavy rainfall.
