At 654 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Ellsworth to near Whitman. Movement was southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include
Mullen, Ellsworth, Hyannis, Whitman, Ashby, Speckel Meir Lake, Duluth, Big Hill, Dipping Vat Meadow, Billys Lake, Swede Lake, Cogill Lake, Intersection of Highway 61 and Survey Valley Road, Whitman Road crossing the North Branch of the Middle Loup River, Pratt Lake, Sevenmile Hill, Kelso, Shimmons Lake, Carr Lake, and Watson Lake. This includes the following highways
Highway 250 between mile markers 4 and 18. Highway 2 between mile markers 115 and 189. Highway 61 between mile markers 139 and 196. Highway 97 between mile markers 47 and 72.

Today and tonight Thunderstorms are possible this morning and again later this afternoon and tonight across western and north central Nebraska. Large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain are the main severe threats. If severe storms develop this morning, the severe threat this afternoon and evening may be limited. However, if storms do not materialize this morning, the threat for severe storms will be greater this afternoon and tonight.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Thunderstorms will continue to be possible daily from Saturday through Thursday. At this time, the severe threat is uncertain.
