This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.
DAY ONE
TODAY AND TONIGHT
Strong to severe storms are forecast for most of the area this evening. Wind gusts of 60-70 mph is most likely hazard but an isolated instance or two of gusts around 75 mph is possible. Large hail up to ping pong ball size is also possible with the strongest storms. Blowing dust may accompany these storms with visibility possibly falling below one mile or less potentially impacting travel and air quality. At least a few instances of nuisance flooding is possible this evening and overnight but localized flash flooding can`t be ruled out.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
Near daily chances for at least isolated strong to severe storms Friday through the weekend. Wind gusts up to 70 mph, large hail, and maybe flooding are possible.
