This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.
DAY ONE
TODAY AND TONIGHT
Strong to severe storms will move in from the west after 4 PM MDT, primarily for locations west of a Stratton, NE to Oakley and Tribune, KS line. Wind gusts up to 70 mph is the primary hazard. This may injure anyone outdoors and may damage siding and crops.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
Heat index up to 105 degrees are forecast Tuesday east of a McCook, NE to Gove, KS line, with minimal cooling Monday night. These temperatures put additional stress on the body, especially the young and elderly. Near daily chances for at least isolated strong to severe storms through the majority of the upcoming week. Wednesday is currently the favored day.
