Hastings Recreation Complex Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight. Heat index readings of 100 to 105 degrees are expected through early evening, mainly for the Tri-Cities and areas to the east and south. Showers and thunderstorms may move in from the west late this evening and overnight, but are generally expected to weaken as they do so. However, a strong to marginally severe storm can`t be ruled out, mainly for areas of south central Nebraska west of Highway 281 and north of Highway 6. Wind gusts of 50 to 60 MPH are the main concern.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. Heat indices of 100 to 105 degrees are forecast once again for the Tri-Cities and points east and south for Tuesday afternoon
then for areas mainly along and south of the Nebraska/Kansas state line Wednesday afternoon. Better thunderstorm chances return to the local area Wednesday evening through Sunday.
