Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE
Southwestern Pottawattamie County in southwestern Iowa
Douglas County in east central Nebraska
Northeastern Sarpy County in east central Nebraska
WHEN
Until 700 AM CDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 326 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillion, Ralston, Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Millard, La Vista, Carter Lake, Waterloo, Crescent, Benson, Aksarben, Midtown, South Omaha, Florence, Standing Bear Lake and Eppley Airfield. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. && LAT
