This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight. Heat index values from near 100 to 105 degrees will continue across much of the local area through the late afternoon or early evening hours, with the highest values expected across north central Kansas. During the late evening through overnight hours, scattered storms are possible across the area, with strong to marginally severe thunderstorms possible mainly along and west of highway 183. Wind gusts of 50 to 60 MPH are the greatest concern with any stronger storms that develop.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday. Afternoon heat index values near or slightly above 100 degrees will continue across mainly portions of north central Kansas each afternoon through Friday.
