This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Isolated thunderstorms are possible through the mid morning hours for areas mainly along and east of Highway 81. During the late evening to overnight hours, scattered thunderstorms are expected to move into western portions of the area. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will continue across the area throughout the overnight hours.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. - Heat concerns this weekend: This weekend brings a return of solidly above-average heat. Heat index readings during the afternoon and early evening both Saturday and Sunday are currently forecast to reach 100-105 degrees
mainly within north central Kansas along with the adjacent bordering counties of far southern Nebraska. - Intermittent thunderstorm chances Friday evening-Wednesday: Between late Saturday evening and Wednesday, there will be intermittent chances for primarily isolated to scattered thunderstorms in various parts of our forecast area.
